The Curcumin Molecule That Could Help You To Overcome Obesity

Researchers have found that Curcumin, the active compound derived from turmeric can be chemically tweaked to make a molecule that prevents body weight gain and even lower cholesterol.

Studies show that Curcumin has beneficial effects in fighting a wide range of diseases and this includes cancers, neurodegenerative disorders, liver and kidney diseases along with inflammation.

However, one of the drawbacks that the scientists experienced in testing this was that the Curcumin wasn’t so readily absorbed into the bloodstream.

This is the problem many people face because the human body absorbs very little Curcumin – and it may often become unstable and dissolve less in water. Therefore,  it’s either metabolised within the liver or excreted. That’s why the bioavailability is a serious problem according to scientists who have been studying the molecule for years.

Biologists at the Central Drug Research Institute in Lucknow, India carried out experiments in test subjects to compare the efficacy of the new molecule they created – what scientists call CDPP – against that of Curcumin.

The scientists grouped the test subjects into two different groups and these groups were fed a high-fat diet, administered to a 100mg per kg of body weight, for the CPDD and curcumin, respectively.

Surprisingly, the scientists found that the bioavailability was four-to-five-fold higher in the adipocytes – the fat cells around the midriff in test subjects treated with CDPP. What happens is that the adipocytes drive out fat from the cells, preventing them from differentiating and then ensuring further fat storage doesn’t occur.

Researchers also found that the derivative is involved in removing cholesterol from the blood and these findings were published earlier this week in the Metabolism online journal.

Curcumin has been found to be highly potent due to its antibacterial, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties. Due to its poor absorbency however, high doses are often required to achieve the dramatic effects that have been shown in worldwide studies.

The Solution To Increase Curcumin Bioavailability

The good news is that you don’t have to wait to use these adapted molecules to come onto the market…there is already a Curcumin supplement available containing a patented formulation of Meriva® Phytosome technology – a complex of a natural active ingredient and a phospholipid. These phytosomes are plant extracts attached to phophatidylcholine, a necessary component of every cell in the body.

Our bodies produce phophatidylcholine naturally; however, it’s possible to obtain it from what we eat and the supplements we take. Phophatidylcholine has a very high bioavailability rate when taken by mouth.  To improve the absorption of Curcumin scientists attached it to phophatidylcholine.

The result of this is Curcuminx4000™, a powerful supplement that when taken, readily absorbd the phophatildylcholine, right along with the Curcumin bound to it. This combination results in high levels of Curcumin reaching the cells.

A recent animal study from the journal Cancer Chemotherapy and Pharmacology also showed that CurcuminX4000™’ has superior bioavailability compared to a standardized Curcumin extract. This study reported 20 times more Curcumin was found in the blood and much more than 20 times of Curcumin was  found in the tissues after taking CurcuminX4000™.

Anyone looking to overcome obesity should consider taking the Curcuminx4000™ supplement alongside following a really healthy diet and lifestyle for best results.
