Scientists have confirmed the impact of WiFi on brain health. Talking on your mobile phone for more than 30 minutes every day could nearly triple your risk of glioma. This is a common form of brain tumour. “The risk is highest among the heaviest users of mobiles, who spend anything from 30 minutes and 80 minutes or more every day making calls,” say researchers from the French CERENAT study.
They also claim there appears to be no risk among occasional and light users. While high exposure to radiofrequency radiation is linked to tumour activity in male rats, according to the US National Toxicology Program (NTP).
In an early release of the initial findings, the NTP researchers discovered that brain tumours had developed in the male rats. The DNA in their brains had been damaged – something that skeptics have said was not biologically possible.
Researchers have also investigated the impact of 4G on brain function. They found that people who were exposed to 4G radiation had reduced brain activity.
WiFi may also contribute to insomnia. One 2007 study found that low-frequency modulation from cell phones impacted sleep quality. People exposed to electromagnetic radiation also had difficulty falling asleep and there were noticeable changes in their brainwave patterns. This doesn’t just extend to mobile phones. Even sleeping near a phone, or being in an apartment building with many WiFi signals can create chronic sleep problems.
The Concerns Over 5G WiFi
One of the biggest concerns with 5G WiFi technology is that it uses very, very small microwaves. They are about 1/64th of an inch into the skin. Yet this is enough to interact with sweat ducts. Research has recently found that sweat ducts are antennas for millimeter waves (5G). This results in high levels of radiation absorption being transmitted into the body.
5G WiFi has been shown to accelerate the growth of bacteria, cancer cells and skin. This is good if you’re recovering from a burn – but bad if you’ve got pre-melanoma cells in your skin.
